Majestic Jade English Laurel is a new selection of Cherry laurel with highly colored foliage. The pinkish-colored buds open to reveal coppery-bronze-tinted new leaves that mature to a rich dark green. The white flowers appear in clusters in the spring.
Majestic Jade Laurel is larger than the Otto Luyken Laurel but shorter than the Skip Laurel. It naturally grows in a rounded vase shape. And holds its evergreen leaves through the winter making it a great choice as a privacy screen or windbreak around a patio.
It is highly tolerant of urban pollution and will even thrive in inner-city environments. It is also a good choice for attracting birds to your yard.
Majestic Jade does best in full sun to partial shade and grows best in average to evenly moist soil conditions, but will not tolerate standing water. It will grow best in rich soils and is also salt tolerant.
